HOW LONG OF A CHARTER ON MOONRISE?

We get the question a lot about how long is the right amount of time for a charter. We offer trips from two hours to all day. The ideal time really depends on what you would like to do. All of our charters are custom and the captain will work with you on achieving the best experience possible.

A two hour charter is great for a cocktail cruise or to enjoy a leisurely loop of the harbor. In two hours we normally will go out of the harbor and loop past Fort Sumter. From there we can either enjoy the views of Sullivan’s Island from the harbor or head up the intracoastal. We then normally head towards Patriots Point to get a view of the Ravenel Bridge and the USS Yorktown. On the way back we pass waterfront park downtown and cruise along the beautiful Battery.

A three hour charter can entail a harbor cruise or gives enough time for exploring some other areas. A guest favorite is heading up the stono river and trying to find dolphins off beautiful Kiawah island. If you would prefer to head north it also would provide enough time to head towards the barrier islands north of Isle of Palms. This is the largest stretch of uninhabited barrier islands on the East Coast.

Four hour and longer charters are perfect for exploring new areas and being able to anchor. The jet drive on the hinckley allows it to anchor in 18” of water so you can step off in less than knee deep water. We also offer membership package of hours in blocks of 10hrs at $400 so you can focus on exploring all the various options we have.
